Since 1952, for many years, the Association held regular weekly functions, on Saturdays, at Sir Jivanjee Modi Hall. (Late Sir Jivanjee Modi was the grandfather of Nadir A. Modi.) Such weekly functions included vast spectrum of activities like Shahnama Recitals, Religious lectures,Western Classical music, Debate, Elocution, Drama, Picnics, Bhel and Sail, Moon light cruises, overnight picnics, hikes, etc.
Later on, we had such weekly activities at Modi Lodge, which was the residence of Nadir Modi and family at Gamdevi. Through this portal of YCZA, hundreds of boys and girls met and converted their relationship in blissful marriages. We also ran a regular Book Fund, which distributed college books in different faculties, like Arts, Science, Commerce, Law and even Medicine, to all the members at nominal wear-and-tear charges.
Every Friday the YCZA arranged various activities at K.R. Cama Institute at Lions Gate and Sir Jivanji Modi Hall. This wide variety of activities included Shahnama recitals, debates, elocution competitions, Socials, Religious lectures, Western Classical Music appreciation sessions, etc.
